In all endeavors, the Collaboratory is academically rigorous and maintains a research and instruction orientation.

Data Archiving, Storage, and Access Services

The Collaboratory offered data archiving, storage, and access services to campus faculty, graduate students, as well as research institutes and centers. While the Collaboratory initially offered limited data storage and archival services, this aspect of the Collaboratory will grow as faculty and research centers request these services and provide resources to acquire hardware and hire staff.

The Collaboratory currently supports a server with anonymous ftp access for on-campus computer users with data previously housed on Wizard and Bobafett.

Contact the Interim Manager for access to these databases.

New data collection additions to the ICPSR data archive

UCR Faculty, staff and students now have direct access to the ICPSR database from any UCR computer.
ICPSR Direct is a new service providing direct access to the ICPSR data holdings for all students, faculty, and staff at ICPSR member institutions. With ICPSR Direct, any user with an authorized IP address from a member institution may download data from ICPSR, without going through a local campus representative.

The first time you use the database you will be asked to fill out a short registration form. Thereafter your email address will serve as your login.
